The holidays and the New Year are always a busy time for everyone, especially small businesses. That doesn’t mean that you need to abandon your strategy for gaining new email leads and boosting engagement on your Facebook page. Read on to find out how a small baby carrier provider based in Australia ran a successful, and simple, Sweepstakes using Heyo.
Meet Nikki Wilkins, Owner/Director of Nurture Nest. Her company has Australia’s largest range of safe, comfortable, and easy to use baby carriers. Nurture Nest helps parents continue to do the things that they love doing, as well as the daily tasks that become harder after having children. By carrying their children close to them, parents can get on with what they want/need to do – whether it be walking along the beach, hiking, doing the dishes, caring for older siblings, preparing meals, or anything else. As one of the few Certified Baby Carrier Consultants in Australia, Nikki enjoys helping parents select the perfect carrier for their family.
Nikki wanted to build her email list and advertise Nurture Nest to people who may have not heard about it before. She chose Heyo because “it looked really simple to set up, and also really easy to use for those who wanted to enter the contest.” Ultimately, she chose to use the Sweepstakes template, which is Heyo’s most popular contest template.
Nikki set up her contest quickly and easily. She decided to go with a $200 credit towards Nurture Nest products as the prize for the contest. Nikki was thankful for the minimal amount of work she had to put into her campaign, from setting up the contest to coding and integrating with Facebook.
“I love that it is so simple to set up the contest, and I didn’t need any fancy graphics to make it look good – Heyo did all of that for me. A major plus for me was that I didn’t need to integrate it into my website. I also like that it links in with Facebook and Twitter, and I ended up with lots of new people following me on social media.”
After publishing the contest to Nurture Nest’s Facebook page, Nikki knew that she would have to do some promoting in order for the contest to be successful. She created a link share post using Heyo’s Smart URL and made sure to post consistently during her contest. By creating those multiple posts on Facebook, she effectively reminded her followers to enter the contest.
When the contest was over, Nurture Nest had a new email list with 1,275 emails and about 500 new quality likes on their Facebook page! The contest converted at an exceptional 60%, and Nikki spent only a couple of hours actually working on the campaign and promotion. She already has plans for other campaigns to show off different aspects of her business, and capture new email leads.
