Facebook Tabs will be Removed Completely

September 30, 2011 | By | 2 Comments">2 Comments

You spent hours googling it.

You ignored your family to conquer it.

You made extra runs to Starbucks to stay up all night learning it.

Now Facebook is removing all of these custom fan page tabs.

Click to read how you can save your tabs in under 30 seconds…

From Facebook:

  • January 1, 2012: FBML will no longer be supported. We will not fix FBML bugs after this date with the exception of security and privacy issues
  • June 1, 2012: FBML apps will no longer work on Facebook. All FBML endpoints will be removed.

In short, all tabs built with Static FBML will disappear.

This will be devastating for all fan page administrators who hoped Facebook would continue to support FBML created tabs. Today, there are still over 104 million monthly active users.

Lujure has generated a free solution in an effort to help these 104 million folks still on Static FBML. You can save your tab in under 30 seconds. Watch the video below to see how.

Not sure if this will effect your tabs? Below is an example of a tab that will be completely removed:

Do you think these are the first steps to a total revamp of fan pages? Leave your prediction in a comment below!
