The objective of this walkthrough is to act as a tutorial on Heyo’s Fan Page Builder on Steroids for all Heyo users, regardless of industry or technical background.

Get started by setting up a Heyo account

1. Go to Heyo.com

Click on Heyo Social on the top of the screen. Then click “Get Started”.

2. Connect with Facebook

Next, click the blue Connect using Facebook button to Log In with Facebook. Allow the Heyo app permission to manage your pages to continue.

Note: You must be an admin of the Fan Page you wish to create apps for.

3. Select the Facebook Fan Page you would like to create an app for

Heyo will automatically detect all of the Fan Pages you’re an admin of. Using the drop-down menu, simply select the page you would like to create an app for and then click Next Step.

Creating Amazing Apps

1. Familiarize with the Fan Page Builder

Now you will see a quick, 3-step tutorial. Click through to see a brief overview on Themes, Widgets, and Publishing to your Fan Page. When you’re done, just “X”-out of the window to start creating!

2. Select your starting template

Next, either select one of our pre-made templates or start with a Custom Blank App if you have your own design inspiration. Click Apply to place the selected template or blank app on your canvas.

3. Start customizing your app

Now that you have decided on the layout of your app, it’s time to make it yours. Use the moveable Power Bar on the left side of your screen to define specific settings for your app.

4. Add/edit widgets in your app

Our social widgets provide incredible interactive functionality to your app.

Simply click on the Widgets button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Scroll through or use the “Filter by type…” box to organize the widgets. To add a widget to your app, simply drag and drop the icon onto the canvas below.

Move and resize the widget to fit the page however you like. Hover over the widget to either edit the settings by selecting the gear, or remove it from the canvas with the “X”.

5. Publish your perfect app

Once your app is ready for the public eye, click the Publish button in the upper-right corner of your screen to send the new app to your Fan Page.

No pressure through – you can always come back to edit and republish your app whenever you’d like by returning to the Heyo Fan Page Builder.
