If you want your contest to bring in user created content and get people sharing it with their friends, consider using the Heyo Photo Contest template.

The Heyo Photo Contest template will allow you to do exactly that. Within the ‘Contest Templates’ category in Heyo comes the pre-packaged entry form and voting page to create a highly engaging photo contest for your Facebook page.

Once you customize the template to match your branding and include your prize, you’ll be able to publish to Facebook, mobile, and web with just one click.

While in the Heyo editor, you’ll only have to make changes to the entry page. The voting page is generated automatically based on the designs you customize on the entry page. To preview both pages in the Heyo editor, simply click the tabbed ‘Entry/Vote’ button in the top right hand corner.

The Photo Contest entry form requires users to enter an email address as well as a photo.

To send the emails collected directly to your list, simply click the form in the Heyo editor and go through the steps to connect the form to MailChimp, AWeber or Constant Contact. If you don’t use one of those services, the user data (including their Facebook Name) will be available for download via a CSV in the Heyo dashboard.

The fans have a few options to submit a photo to the contest: uploading from their desktop, connecting to Instagram or pasting in a URL from Twitter or Facebook. Once they provide a description of the photo and click submit their entry is uploaded to the voting page where all the entries can be viewed, voted on and shared (see below).

When an entry is submitted the user will get a unique URL to share with their own followers to help generate votes. They will also be given the option to quickly share on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ to help maximize their reach and get the most votes possible.
