Don’t you love the photo resolution on Facebook ever since they introduced the Timeline last year? So do we!
That’s why we got even more excited when new photo updates on Facebook appeared Monday!
These photo updates on Facebook make viewing images a more “beautiful” experience, according to Facebook.
Now, when you’re on your profile and you click on the Photos tab at the top of your Timeline, the page is filled with larger pictures. Use the menu to find images that you are tagged in, pics you’ve shared, and albums you’ve created.
According to the Facebook blog:
“With your Facebook photos all in one section, it’s simple to show friends your favorites.”
Now, while this is a great new feature – it is not surprising that Facebook made the move to larger images. With Pinterest’s incredible popularity spike since it’s inception in 2010, we’ve seen how effectively people respond to pictures, rather than just text alone.
In addition, remember back in April when Facebook bought Instagram for $1B? Looks like they’ve realized this recent pic-sharing trend and are acting on it now, also having released the Facebook Camera mobile app since then.
If you aren’t seeing these changes on your profile yet, don’t fret. Facebook’s changes are still in the process of rolling out globally – you’ll see it soon!
