3 Major Components of a Winning Facebook Post

WinningFacebookPost

To write a really good post on Facebook is no small task. Besides your natural talent for writing great articles, there’s something else that you need to take into consideration. You have to know how you should write Facebook posts, especially if you do it for your business.

There’s a succession of actions you should take in order for your post to be liked and shared among masses of people. All in all, this strategy is not that difficult – it includes just 3 important components that are going to make your posts the best they can be.

1. Audience

1Audience

Care about your audience! Para iniciar, you need to define who is your target audience and what they want to read about. The more criteria you set (idade, gênero, localização, employment, renda, interesses), the more detailed your target reader’s portrait will be. What do your target readers talk about? What are their concerns and interests? What can attract their attention right away? You must find answers to all these questions.

Will you learn this information by manually searching for it? Claro que não! Uso Facebook Audience Insights to see all the important details, including Demographics (age and gender, lifestyle, Status de relacionamento, education level, job title of your target readers), Likes Página, Location (cidade, país, idioma), Activity (frequency of activities, device users), Household (renda, home ownership, etc.), Purchases (varejo, on-line), e assim por diante.

This information creates a full picture of your audience, allowing you to realize how you can benefit from being aware of their interests and worries and how to create an appropriate Facebook post for them.

2. Conteúdo

2Content

When we start talking about content, we mean text content. What should you write and how should you write it? Em geral, your content should be attractive, real, and absolutely original. If you doubt your posts’ originality, it makes sense to use the Unplag plagiarism checker, which searches coincidences across the Internet and detects text similarities in your writing.

To attract your readers, you should obviously write that which interests them. O que é mais, it’s important to stimulate your readers to certain actions – to give likes, compartilhar, to comment, e assim por diante. The call-to-action (CTA) concept fits perfectly here. Tell your readers what they should do – to answer, subscribe, clique, seguir, tentar, help or join, or anything that makes sense for you to suggest. There are a few other ways to attract readers besides using calls-to-action, such as the following:

  • Ask your readers questions or conduct a survey. When they see a question, readers will have a desire to answer and share their experience.
  • Surprise and provoke your readers. Something stunning makes Facebook users read and re-read what they’ve just seen and learn more about the subject.
  • Make your posts personal. If your readers find something in your posts that bothers them, they are sure to check it, like it, and share it. Your readers should think that everything you write is about them.
  • Hold a competition. Who doesn’t want to win a prize? People will gladly repost or like those posts which contain contests of some sort.
  • Use easy examples. It’s much better to explain your idea using examples – easy examples. Your message should be clear and understandable.
  • Use negatives (não, can’t, pare). People will definitely want to know what they aren’t supposed to do to avoid possible risks.
  • Use humour. Memorable and relevant jokes or puns are going to make readers have a closer look at what you post.
  • Include a newsworthy detail. New information on what your readers like is a great way to attract new readers and retain existing readers.
  • Suggest solutions to problems. Your readers have lots of worries and questions to be answered. Why don’t you suggest something helpful and explain how they can cope with their troubles.
  • Let your readers peep. If you promise to reveal a secret about anything or tell the truth, it’s rather difficult to resist the temptation to read your material.

Your writing should be brief. BlitzMetrics conducted a study on Facebook marketing that revealed how short texts have maximum impact on readers because such posts get more likes and reposts. Letter counters can be of great assistance in this case.

Em segundo lugar, visual content is also of high importance here. Visual content can include photographs, videos, infográficos, or memes. So besides your short text, please add visual content to your Facebook post. And don’t forget about authorship and copyrights: In order to use photographs, you need to take them from free photo stocks or indicate the author’s name in order to avoid being accused of copyright infringement.

Thirdly, make link posts! We’re lucky to have a convenient built-in Facebook link format. Your readers have a chance to promptly check what you’re promoting or recommending. So why don’t you add a link to your Facebook post?

3. Timing

3Timing

A great deal of success depends on timing when you post anything on Facebook. It can happen that you post something new on Facebook simultaneously with others. The result is disappointing: Your posts get lost in the news feed. TrackMaven cares deeply about effective posting on Facebook, which is why it did a study to investigate how to attract customers on Facebook.

De acordo com o TrackMaven study, those posts that are published between 5:00 pm and 1:00 am EST see 11% more interactions than posts published between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, e 29% more than those published between 1:00 am and 8:00 sou. Também, it will be a huge plus to publish your updates on weekends, since Facebook users have more free time to look through new posts and give more likes and shares as the result.

And what’s more, please note the following: The more often you post updates, the more chances your readers have to notice them.

Now let’s make a short summary of what we need to do to create a great Facebook post:

  1. Define your target audience and what interests them.
  2. Create high-quality content based on the interests of your target audience
  3. Publish frequent posts at optimal times.

Ready to write amazing posts on Facebook? Have a great time posting!
